Welcome to the Anchor Bay Resort, LLC website. Here you can find out everything you need to know before you call to make a reservation with us. We are located on beautiful Lake Shafer, and within walking distance to Indiana Beach! We have eight wonderful cottages and a small upstairs apartment to choose from, depending on availability. Why not try a game of corn toss or relax at the pool, right next to the playground, after a day at Indiana Beach. We also have charcoal grills available for all the cottages, so feel free to grill out while you stay. You will truly enjoy your stay at Anchor Bay, when you call and reserve a cottage today!
The Anchor Bay Resort offers a quiet, secluded, rustic, lakeside setting with a quick and easy access to the suspension bridge leading to the Indiana Beach Amusement Park. This is especially nice for those of you who like to party in the busy atmosphere of the Indiana Beach area, but also want to have some quiet relaxing things to do. In a three mile area are golf courses, miniature golf, several restaurants, churches, two marinas, tennis, bowling, theaters, and a shopping center.
We are especially proud of our beautiful HEATED SWIMMING POOL,which is open from 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. daily. It is a huge "L" shaped design which boasts a large diving area yet has plenty of room for swimming and playing and a special shallow section for the little ones.
We have basketball, corn toss, horseshoes, tether ball, piers for boating or fishing, swings and a sandbox for the kids, a campfire area and plenty of room so you don't feel crowded. Registered rowboats and a paddle boat are also available at no additional charge to the customer.
Our cottages are exceptionally clean, one or two bedroom separate units. All include private bath with showers, kitchens with stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves, grills, picnic tables, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, air conditioners, living rooms with sofa and chairs, carpeting, color cable television and most have screened porches and/or a deck with lawn furniture.
Included at no extra cost are weekly bed sheets, pillows and pillowcases and sufficient blankets if needed.
We do not provide towels. Please be sure to bring your own. You may want to bring your fishing pole and don't forget your swimsuit for the pool - cut offs are not allowed.(Please be sure to bring an additional swimsuit if you plan on swimming in the lake)
